Merelin Morales, a sophomore, is the News editor of The Sunburst. She joined the team at the start of her freshman year and hopes to continue being part of The Sunburst for all four of her years at Del Oro. She enjoys writing about what is going on around campus and giving well-earned recognition to all outstanding Suns on campus.

Outside of The Sunburst, she is currently enrolled in early college course and hopes to graduate with both a high school diploma and associate degree from  Bakersfield College.
